Could you please talk about which carriers and/or radio and television operators have adopted MoCA technologies in the two-way network transformation currently in China and globally?

MoCA聯(lián)盟：在美國(guó)，除了一家付費(fèi)電視運(yùn)營(yíng)商外，其余的運(yùn)營(yíng)商都在采用MoCA技術(shù)。這項(xiàng)技術(shù)在美國(guó)占據(jù)了90%以上的市場(chǎng)份額。

MoCA technology is in use by every major pay TV operator in the U.S except one. The technology enjoys more than 90 percent market share in the US.

MoCA技術(shù)是唯一三個(gè)付費(fèi)電視領(lǐng)域（有線、衛(wèi)星和電信）都在使用的有線家庭網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)。它還是唯一將來(lái)持續(xù)增長(zhǎng)的有線家庭網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)。

It is the only wired home networking technology in use by all three pay TV segments—cable, satellite and telco. It is also the only wired home networking technology that will continue to grow after next year。

The technology is in trials or deployment on five continents-North America, South America, Asia, South Africa and Europe.

China's cable TV network operators including Tianjin cable TV, Guizhou cable TV, Jiangsu cable TV and so on have adopted MoCA technology, could you please introduce its practical applications over the recent years?

MoCA聯(lián)盟：我暫時(shí)不方便公開(kāi)運(yùn)營(yíng)商的名稱(chēng)及其計(jì)劃，但是使用MoCA技術(shù)進(jìn)行家庭高清內(nèi)容傳輸?shù)姆��?wù)提供商確實(shí)遍布全球。具體的應(yīng)用包括多房間DVR（在美國(guó)和歐洲比較流行）、游戲和OTT視頻在線點(diǎn)播。眾多運(yùn)營(yíng)商使用MoCA產(chǎn)品加強(qiáng)無(wú)線網(wǎng)絡(luò)，使消費(fèi)者可以在家里的各個(gè)角落接收網(wǎng)絡(luò)內(nèi)容。

I cannot speak publicly about operators and their plans, but service providers worldwide use MoCA technology for the distribution of high definition content around the home. Applications include multi-room DVR (popular in the US and Europe), gaming and over the top video streaming. Many operators use MoCA –enabled products to enhancewireless networks so that the consumer can receive content anywhere in the home.

Could you please talk about the advantages of an HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) network that are widely adopted in China compared with other networks (e.g. wireless and power lines)?

MoCA聯(lián)盟：HFC是一種網(wǎng)絡(luò)或者寬帶接入技術(shù)。這種技術(shù)用于向家庭傳輸內(nèi)容，而MoCA用在在家庭內(nèi)部傳輸內(nèi)容。MoCA技術(shù)兼容所有網(wǎng)絡(luò)接入技術(shù)。

HFC is a network or broadband access technology. It is a technology for delivering content TO the home. MoCA is a technology for IN the home. MoCA technology works with any network access technology.

無(wú)線是平板電腦和智能手機(jī)等便攜設(shè)備的最佳技術(shù)，這些設(shè)備無(wú)需使用線纜即可以連接到因特網(wǎng)上。然而，無(wú)線技術(shù)是一種共享媒體，所有的用戶(hù)共同分享可用帶寬的一部分，而非全部。這樣高清視頻在線點(diǎn)播的質(zhì)量會(huì)受到極大的影響。無(wú)線還可能干擾其它家庭設(shè)備和技術(shù)，這樣也會(huì)影響視頻的質(zhì)量。但是，如果家庭面積較小，或者僅有一兩名使用者，無(wú)線也許能夠滿足大多數(shù)應(yīng)用的需求。

Wireless is the best technology for portable devices as tablets and smartphones as these devices do not use wires to connect to the Internet. However, wireless technology is a shared medium so all users only get a portion of available bandwidth, not all of it. This will severely impact HD video for instance. Wireless is also prone to interference with other devices and technologies in use in the home which also affects video. However, if the home is small, or there is only one or two users in the home, wireless may prove adequate for most applications.

每個(gè)家庭都會(huì)安裝電力線，這非常適用于電子郵件或者微博等不需要較大帶寬的數(shù)據(jù)應(yīng)用。但是電力線也容易干擾其它設(shè)備和技術(shù)，不能使高清視頻實(shí)現(xiàn)最佳的質(zhì)量。

Powerline is pervasive throughout the home and is well suited for data-specific applications that do not require a lot of bandwidth such as email or Weibo. But powerline is also prone to interference with other devices and technologies in use and is not reliable for high definition video.

According to the latest statistics collected by DWRH.net, at present, China has over nearly 100 million cable television network users who are awaiting two-way network transformation around the country. The local cable TV operators will give top priority to the cost and its future business models before conducting two-way network transformation.  what are MoCA’s prevailing advantages in this regard? Besides, what are MoCA’s specific advantages in terms of cost?

MoCA technology offers the highest performance and reliability over any home networking standard available today. The technology will work over any coaxial cabling that exists. There is no need to upgrade the wire like Ethernet/Cat5.
